It’s not a party until someone starts the music, and the Savannah Craft Brew Fest is doing just that.

The fall tasting event, entering its fifth year, has added an all-day, outdoor concert to its 2012 Savannah Craft Brew Week, which runs Aug. 26 to Sept. 2.

The capstone Sept. 2 show, Rhythm & Brews, will feature a rock ‘n’ roll lineup that includes the North Mississippi Allstars, Sister Hazel, Heavy Pets, Stokeswood and Jason D. Williams.

Sister Hazel, from Gainesville, Fla., rose to fame in the 1990s, most notably for their 1997 single “All For You,” which hit No. 11 on the Billboard charts and helped propel their album “Somewhere More Familiar” to platinum status. Since then, they’ve released six more studio albums, including 2010’s “Heartland Highway.”

The Grammy-nominated North Mississippi Allstars, meanwhile, have been wowing audiences since their 2000 hit debut “Shake Hands With Shorty” and more than a dozen records in the decade since.

Tickets for the concert are $40 in advance, $50 at the door, and go on sale today. Admission also will be available in bundled deals with Craft Brew Fest tasting events.
